Senior Technical Manager (KZN)

- We are a dynamic IT services company based in KZN with staff in CPT and JHB servicing clients across South Africa and internationally. We are looking for a Senior Technical manager to join and help develop our technical team. The successful candidate will bring drive and fresh ideas to the table to ensure our customers utilise technology efficiently to maximise their potential and adding to their success.

Requirements
· Degree or diploma in IT or similar.
· Experience in managing a technical team.
· Work from the KZN/Hilton Office
· Cloud experience and architecture (Azure or AWS)
· Network and firewall understanding (Sophos and FortiGate)
· Microsoft Power Platform
· Microsoft servers (SQL/AD/RDS etc.)
· Good written and verbal skills for proposals and documentation.
· Client facing – Comfortable to sit in client meetings and offer technical advice.
· Team player.
· Some local travel may be required at times.
· Experience in managing a technical team.

A good technical understanding of various IT technologies.
Assist with architecture and design of IT solutions.
Excellent problem solving skills.
The ability to analyse and identify common issues, potential improvements and enhancements.
Assist with sourcing external and inhouse training for the technical team.
Monitor and assess and report on the team’s performance.
Assist in planning and delivering IT roadmaps and projects internally and for clients.
An escalation path for support queries.
Develop inhouse procedures for managing the technical workload.
Remuneration is dependent on experience and magic you can bring to the team. (35k to 50k per month)
